If I do not reside in Idaho, can they do this?

I contacted Sonic Cash (internet company) and informed them that according to Kansas statutes, they are overcharging my finance fee. I asked them to refund anything over the maximum fee and apply it to my loan balance. I received the following response:
When you requested the loan with us you signed an agreement that stated you were taking the loan out under Idaho laws not Kansas laws. Huh? If I don't reside in Idaho, can they do this?

illegal lenders will state that, but it is not true.your state laws apply.nuff said.btw sonic is really based offshore, and not in idaho so treat them like it.btw how much was borrowed, and how how much debited?

Sonic Cash is an illegal lender and hence you need not worry about any legal actions that they threat to take against you. If you've overpaid, demand a refund as they ought to pay you back the money.

Yeah...paulie is right. You owe them nothing more than the principal balance. They are telling a lie. Don’t rely on their words. Close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account. If required file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.

They will continue to try and collect the debt, get ready for the collection calls unless you change your number also.
