i've never used DebtCC, but, I've read, all over the forums, that they are pretty good at 'organizing' bills and helping you with payment plans. I DO know, there are several other debt consolidation sites, on this forum.

Hello BEASTER, welcome!

There is a million things that you can do to get yourself back on track.

First of all, summarize your responsibilities. Get a piece of paper, or open up Excel, and wrrite everything down. Write down all your creditors, what amounts you owe them, what are your minimum monthly payments, what are your associated fees and APRs. Put them in groups- if you have credit card debt, student loans, payday loans, loans from credit unions, from friends.

Second, put your monthly expenses in that table as well. Write all your bills down, and put $200 aside fot "others" - this is your "unexpected occurrences" budget.

Now, check if what you guys are making per month is less that what your total spendings are. If so, then you start cutting costs down. Stop the cable TV, stop going out, cancel all unnecessary services, lower you cellhpone minutes, anything that can help you save.

Third, pull your credit reports from http://www.annualcreditreport.com/. Its free to get them once per year. Check the reports thoroughly for errors, false accounts, balances and personal information.

Also, visit debtconsolidationcare.com. It is a great forum with a lot of knowledgeable people, that can help you get out of debt. They also offer free consultation!

Thats right, people there are very helpful and nice. Something, that made a huge impression on me was a post, where a forum member was saying that it is impossible for her to handle her financial situation anymore. In minutes, the topic was full of posters, who were donating their hardly earned points to the member in trouble. That was just something that I wish I could see more often.

Managing debt might sound very difficult but it should be very interesting once you take interest in your financial matters.

Start thinking of the future financially. The more secure you are more secure will your future be. Think about managing your finance. Our lives rest on credit and gradually through mismanagement we fall into the debt trap. So now management comes into focus.
managing comes with keeping up with all payments, keeping track of the credit rating to keep evaluating all the aspects of your financial progress.

Hey Good,

As I am a moderator here. I made that comment on a spammer who tried well to sell his "not welcome" product here. Its my job to ward them off :)

first thing you need to do is reorganize first get rid of all the credit cards. then take one at a time pay all the extra income you get on it usually the smallest one first so you feel like your getting somewhere. you can get a consolidation company who freezes the interest they charge and make one payment a month and they devie it up amoung your creditors there are a lot of options but the major one is you really want to get debt free not just out from under what youve acumulated, or youll get right back into it.
