Sorry, this may be long...but I'm in the process of disputing. I receive "bills" from NCO on my old CAPONE card. Below is how it shows on my credit report. 1) None of the balance history shows $ I paid to Arrow Fin, who had the account in 2003, to make a pay-off deal. 2) How is it that CAP ONE BK is reporting but they will NOT deal with me, they refer me to NCO. 3) What does charged off EACH AND EVERY month mean? 4) If the date of status is 07/2002, should I just wait until 07/2009 and let SOL run out? PS The amt owed is interest... THANKS:)

Limit High Balance History:

1) None of the balance history shows $ I paid to Arrow Fin, who had the account in 2003, to make a pay-off deal.

Do you have any proof of your payments?

2) How is it that CAP ONE BK is reporting but they will NOT deal with me, they refer me to NCO.

They may still own the account, but hire a NCO to receive payment...they are not obligated to deal with you--that is what the CA is there for.

3) What does charged off EACH AND EVERY month mean?

Sounds like CapOne is reporting on a monthly basis. Your account was a charge off in June 02, and is still a charge off.

4) If the date of status is 07/2002, should I just wait until 07/2009 and let SOL run out?

Dispute until you run out of reasons to do so. Since CapOne reports your account monthly, you may not have a choice but to ultimately wait it out.

1) I do have proof of one payment to Arrow Fin, a check (I can't find but am trying) but a bill that says they received the payment and some more is due.
3)What does "still a charge off" mean for me in terms of credit and in terms of disputing and in terms of SOL?
4) So disputing will NOT restart the SOL clock?

1) If you can find your proof of payment, then you should be able to successfully challenge the amount due

3) Charge offs hurt your score more than a late...in terms of SOL, 7 years of credit reporting start from date of charge off. SOL for lawsuits usually starts from date of last payment (this can be reset)

4) Correct.

So, the way I see it as if CAP ONE is reporting a charge off every month... then the SOL starts over every month?

I think you need to consult a credit org. or an attorney.
