junior vs senior names

My husband and I are going over our cedit reports due to being denied over and over for credit and we found out one of the factors in why. we had 3 credit cards listed on his report with over $30,000 limits combined.

This was all due to when his dad got the cards which was before my husband even turned 18 he never applied for them as a Sr., he just applied in the name. The credit card companies just look at the name not SS# they told my husband and if his name comes up first on the list it gets tacked to his Credit report not his dads. I think that if they want the SS# they should take the time and put it onto the right name and not put us through all this just to change names on the accounts.

Just thought I would let everyone know my findings while cleaning credit!!!

I am sorry to hear that.

But that's why it is very, very important to check
your credit reports PRIOR TO applying for any
new credit or financing. This way you may clear
up any and all errors and prevent unnecessary
Credit Denials and INQs.

Due to serious errors and FCRA violations by the
CRAs, you and your husband had suffered and
continue to suffer credit denials. In addition,
you have unnecessary INQs after INQs, which
remains on your CRs for 2 years. INQs will lower your credit scores.

I would dispute with the CRAs to immediately
delete the 3 items and supply a corrected credit
report to all creditors who have received a copy
within the last six months, or the last two years
for employment purposes.

Reminder: File a detailed complaint with the FTC
and your State Attorney General.

I hope this helps.
