My wife closed her AT&T account but forgot to pay the final closing fee bill, despite repeated reminder emails (getting married can be quiet hectic) When we finally got round to calling AT&T, they informed us that the account went into collections (Collection Company Of America) a month ago. They claim to have sent a final warning letter to an old mailing address which we didn't get.
should we pay AT&T, or the collection agency? and is there a recommended method to doing it?
