I have a student loan that is in collections right now. I want to go back to school but the Financial Aid office cannot grant me financial aid due to this situation. If I pay the loan in payments could the school give me financial aid then or do i have to wait until the loan is paid off to go back to school?

Getting denied for car loan

Ok, here's the scenario. I currently owe about ~6,600 on my SUV. The plan is to sell it to A) Lower my monthly payment B) get something with better mileage.

I want to just go to a dealer, have them take my car on trade (aka pay it off) and get something else.

I applied for the Capital One Auto Loan (think Eloan) for $10,000 and was denied.

Use convenience checks to pay off sutdent loan....

Hi,

Very often I am getting these "convenience checks" some offer 0%APR for6 months others 3.99%PAR for the lifetime of the balance, my question is can the credit card co. change the APR at any time? Or do we have a contract if the letter says "3.99 for the lifetime of the balance"?

I'd like to use one of these checks and payoff my student loan ($21K) at 9%APR. Seems I'd save a bunch in interest, right?

I want to do these so I can remove my cosigner from my private student loan.

what the best interest rate I can get for a home equity loan

ok lets assume I have perfect credit own, my home out right, every thing is perfect. What is a good interest rate on a home equity or personal loan?
I have a credit card with a realy low (6.9) fixed intest rate on purchases and balance transfers-this is not an introductory rate. I need to make some home improvements ASAP. I know it looks bad to have a lot of debt on revolving credit but if my house is already paid for does it matter? I'm not trying to get a loan for anything else.
