Budgeting your expenditures
House buying can be stressful . . here are some points which help you
1.Price/offers : The advertised price of a home is not necessarily what you will have to pay.
2.Mortgages : preferably you will have arranged a mortgage before you find a house you want to buy.
3.Solicitors : If you haven't set up a solicitor before you make the offer, you must hire one straight after. You require a solicitor to deal with the official aspects of buying/selling property

For peace of mind, you can request a credit report for your child through Experian’s online fraud center or by calling 1 888 EXPERIAN (1 888 397 3742) and selecting the fraud option. Simply follow the instructions provided. You will be asked to provide documentation verifying that you are the parent or legal guardian before Experian can send you a credit report.

Come great tips I've come across. Thought I'd share :)
(1) Replace your incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. Admittedly, some of these bulbs really suck (weird colored light, dim until they warm up, etc.) but there are some good ones out there. In fact, we’ve had great success with the el cheapo multi-packs from Lowes and Home Depot. The added bonus is that CF bulbs put out less heat, so they also reduce your AC load in the summer.
The Secretary of State has unfairly increased Illinois residents Drivers License Fees.
The cost of consumer renewal fees have jumped from $10 to a whopping $30 dollars. This is not targeted at all residents. Just people between 21 & 68.
Consumers need to contact Jesse White to complain about the increase.
In addition consumers should contact their Illinois state Representatives & Senators here:
In June 2005, I missed a payment on a credit card by 5 days. The bank raised the interest to 24%. I got a loan of 500K with low interest to pay for this credit card. However, I decided not to close the account. I have since then used been it for balance transfers because the bank was offering low APR on balance transfers. I have no other late fees on my credit report on this account but for the large balance.
Is it possible that the late payment made so many years ago and the high APR is still hurting my credit?
Credit Monitoring credit reports can be a good deal if you are needing to review your credit report often. But the Credit Reporting Agencies do provide free credit reports if consumers meet the qualifications.
Credit monitoring credit reports help consumers identify ID Theft, but the consumer is unable to dispute or activate a fraud alert with the credit monitoring service. They have to direct them to the Credit Reporting Agencies to handle this problem.
Consumers are no longer going to be approved for over draft at point of sale. Which caused $35 dollar fees without the consumers knowledge. Now over the amount available transactions will be refused.
If a consumer does want this service they can opt-in
Still over draws at an ATM will generate an Over Draft Fee.
It is finally time that banks stopped bilking customers.
One thing I did was when I was keeping a checking account and register book was every time I wrote a check I would write the amount in the register rounding up to the next dollar. Like if I wrote a check for $10.50 I would enter it into the register as $11.00.
I see bankruptcy posts in this section and wanted to contribute some good information on how to go about handing the credit reporting side of things.
Consumers need to order all 4 credit reports:
