i been waiting for 10 yrs for an account to disappear from my credit report but as soon as it is about to be removed another co. buys it. is that even legal, what can i do?
What state are you in? What is the SOL in your state? If the SOL in your state has expired you don't need to make any payments. Making any payments will renew the SOL. However, this debt is supposed to remain in your records till 7 years from the day you were delinquent. After that is over, it should get removed. If not, you could dispute the debt and get it removed from your report.
