I have a credit report that says CREDITORS PR, but I am unable to locate them online. Does anyone know how to contact them?

Hi,

I think this a collection agency called Creditors Collection located at Puerto Rico. As this agency is listed on your credit report, their address too will be mentioned on your report. You can use that address to communicate with the agency.

Thanks,

Aaron

Tina, Please be careful of any collection agency outside the United States. I have known a couple people who recently have been getting calls from out of the country collectors and they are really harassing. I believe there also was a recent posting on here from someone who had already paid a settled debt and then people from outside the US started to call. I also experienced a similair situation. People who had my number before I moved here had a lot of collectors and I had one of those out of the country calls. I reported it. Just be careful when dealing with these people.

Aaron and fireyone,
Thank you for your information. I actually work for a financial and found this on one of my member's credit reports and was trying to locate the information so she can pay it. On the reports we pull it only lists the companies name and the account number, not an address. We will have to try pulling her report from one of the credit reporting agencies' websites and see if it shows an address that way.

She has never lived out of the country so I am surprised it is at a company in Puerto Rico.

Hi Tina,

Yes, generally address of the collection agency is listed on the credit report. Hope that the address of this company be found on the credit report of your member. Then she can send a "debt validation letter" to the collection agency. You will get a sample letter at http://www.creditmagic.org/repair/sampleletter-debtvalidation.html . The letter should be sent through certified mail, requesting a retyrn receipt.

Thanks,

Aaron
