Can the creditor put me in jail?

Am being threatened of being sued in civil court for payday loans. Can they put me in jail? Creditors are threatening this.

report any lender,or bottomfeeder collectore that implies jail as they broke the law.debts are civil at best,and that is if the lender is legal.all illegals illegaly threaten because that is all they have.scare tactic threats.

No you can’t go to jail, as debts are civil case, not a criminal offense. File a complaint against the lenders to the SAG or FTC as they have violated the FDCPA laws by giving you threat.

If you aren't aware of the FDCPA, you should educate yourself on it. Knowing your rights is very important and it is only when you know your rights that you can easily handle matters.

Payday lenders can threaten to sue you or sue you in actuality for non payment of debt but cannot take you to jail. Debt is a completely civil case and not criminal.

The creditors may threaten to sue you if you have not paid off the outstanding debts on time. However, they cannot put you in jail in anyway.
