I am sorry but I do not have a question box in Debt Forum so I must use this one. I have a pdl that is telling me that the contract I signed states that they follow Delaware laws not Florida's. Can you help me with this? I already sent the Florida Code /Rules regarding PDL and I also told them they are not license in Florida and this is what they replied (above) Please advise
The payday lender must go by the laws in the state in which the borrower lives. Regardless what they tell you. I have found that online pdl lenders violate several laws. Have you paid the principal amount back? If I remember correctly, in Flordia a lender must be licensed.
