can someone tell me please if the SOL for the below has passed;
date of status 5/03; and SOL in NJ is 6 years
can the collector still pursue the law suit and win in court; or will they drop it
i received a summon this week and i have 25 days to answer the summon.
should i send an answer stating the SOL has expired; or is the credit report not enough to win the case?
thanks much

i just obtained credit reports from 2 different sites and there is no sign of that credit card or any collection agency for that debt. does that mean it's cleared out now. do i have the right to answer the summon and tell them that this debt is no longer active. or could they still come after me for some reason. please help. i have to send an answer soon and should i send the copies of the credit reports? thanks
