I used to get Martin Luther day off but not at this job, I guess that all depends on who you work for and what your beliefs are. My employer now says that if you want to celebrate Martin Luther King day or any other holiday that is not recognized by our company, you can take a personal or vacation day. They don’t really make a big deal about a lot of holidays. I don’t really mind as long as we are off for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years day. I guess those are the traditional holidays that I celebrate, so even if I had Martin Luther King day off, I probably would not do anything special anyway.

What other holidays does everyone get a day off work?

I have Martin luther king day off, don't know that I will do much, not much for celebration, probably will catch up on life.

There are a lot of employers that don't recognize this day as a holiday, it is good they give the option to take a day lunchtime.

My employer has the traditional holidays, I think we have 9 or so, can't name them all but they are the most celebrated ones like christmas, easter, thanksgiving and etc.

I do not celebrate that day. I just say a prayer for him . We also do not have a tree at Xmas, I do not celebrate Easter either.

I did not know this was happening, where did you hear this? I feel so in the dark on this one, that is just wrong, I wonder where they came up with this one. This is just unbelieveable.

they already took it off the new silver dollars and some other coins i got a email on it i only seen it on the new silver dollar i got one just to see the email ask everyone not to buy it if it had eliminated the phrase in god we trust. check all the new money out if you get any of it give it back and ask for the real money that has the in god we trust.

Thats a great idea Dadummy. You sure ain't no dummy...lol I had heard them talking about it .I had no idea it was already starting. I to think it is wrong. They are so afraid of stepping on someone's rights who doesn't beleive in God that they don't mind stepping on our rights . Thats why the USA is in the shape it is coming to because they are living God out of it.They are removing it because some don't want it there .They don't beleive in God so they say it is pushing something they don't beleive on them. You know religious rights and all. I heard that beshear was the one who took prayer in school away.Does anyone know if this is true?

I don't think that this is a good idea that paypal holds the funds until the cutmsoer receives the item, for the simple fact the cutmsoer could say that they have not gotten the item and in fact they received the item. I think that they should just leave things the way that they are.
