This is what I do and it's working out really well for me. Hope it works for you.

It looks something like this

Checking Balance $------------
Payroll Deposit $--------------
Savings Deduct $-----

Cash on Hand Deduct $-------
I will keep putting any expenses that I have to pay for that week and then add everything up and start the process all over again for the next week. I have about 4 months worth of this information on my excel sheet.

Let me know if you need me to explain anything..

Also if you have different tips pleas share.

Ok, here's the scoop.

Im a 23 year old college student. I took a summer internship a few years ago that made me travel all over the country on my own dime, which should have been a clue right there. Anyway, since then I managed to wrack up almost 25k in credit card debt. I feel so lost, I don't know what to do. Most of the debt has been charged off I believe as it's been almost a year since I paid last.

I have noticed that there is no discussion an this board about credit unions.
I personally a big fan of credit unions.
Right now I belong to 2 big CU, PenFed and Alliant.
I have credit card and autoloan with PenFed, and my savings and kids savings with Alliant.
Both have customer service which is much better that Amex's.
Any thoughts?
