hi, need some help... My girlfriend crashed my car, hit a motorcyclist. He was injured, not bad, but the motorcycle was totaled and he was taken taken to the hospital just as a precaution. I didnt have any auto insurance at the time and either did she. my question is: If he sues me (because im the registered owner) and the judgement is for him, can I file bankruptcy? I have a steady job, but I know I wouldnt be able to pay. I can barely stay afloat as it is!

Welcome to the forums!!!
If there is any error, then you can dispute it with the credit bureaus. Usually negative items remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. You may contact with your creditors and ask them about the error. It’s true that late payments hurt your credit score badly. So try to make your all payments asap.

I took my 18 year old daughter( now shes 22) to the doctor and she had sum test done she was still on our insurance but our insurance did not cover that bill and it is now at collections for about 4000.. she wants to buy a home and this keeps coming up on her credit report. is there any way we can get it removed from her and we can take care of it since it was our insurances fault that they did not cover it.

I received a letter from the credit union regarding a judgement of wage garnishments pursuit but i was never served any court papers. When i got home from work i found some papers in my mail box regarding this matter but it was not delivered by the post office. Since i work for the post office i know no one can place anything in the mail box that was not delivered by the post office.

I have been trying to get my credit back in order after a few years of hard times. I have done well to pay all my debts off since 2008. We cancelled our account with AT&T at the end of 2010, and then they came back a few months later saying that we still owed them almost $900 in cancellation fees and other stuff. long story short, a collection agency got involved a few months ago (even though we have been paying AT&T directly) so we went ahead and paid AT&T the remainder of the balance owed so that we could be done with it.
