Hey guys,

I recently got a new job and during the hiring process they ordered a credit report. There were quite a few things on there that weren't mine needless to say I got those removed fairly easily however I did find 2 medical collections (for which I had never been billed). One was just for the copay, the other was not covered by the insurance. I'm talking with the insurance company to get that covered and then I will try a PFD.

My husband and I have been trying to clean up our credit. We are trying to raise our credit scores. I signed up with this credit repair/counseling service named CareOne. So, far I have not seen any suspicious activity. They have sent me a copy every month of the creditors that they have paid, the agreements they reached with the creditors and an itemized list of how my funds are disbursed. Very impressed if I must say so myself. However, the problem is my husband, they really can't help him cause he biggest debt is child support(children from previous relationships).

I live in Phila, PA and I have been getting phone calls from a "PA Federal Agency"(thats what they said their name was), they always come up as "unknown" so I can't call them back. Anyway, apparently I took out a payday loan 6 months ago. I just recently used the payday loan service on 11/18/2011, this was the first time I have EVER used this type of service. They are saying that they are going to have me arrested for fraud.

Approach for old-ish medical debts

Hi everyone. I'm getting myself confused over recommendations for how to handle some old medical debts. I've three items showing up on my credit report each for about $250. They all have dates opened and placed for collection in 2006. Paying that in full isn't a problem, but if possible I'd like to get them off the reports. What's the best course of action in this situation?
